The New York-listed boxship owner, which reported better-than-expect second-quarter profits today, said it struck an agreement with Mediterranean Shipping Co (MSC) to extend the charters of three ships for two years.

The 2,020-teu MSC Namibia II (built 1991), MSC Sierra II (built 1991) and MSC Reunion (built 1992) will earn $7,600 per day each over the first year of the extension.
