Credit Suisse CEO Tidjane Thiam says he has no intention of running for Ivory Coast president.
He issued a statement following media speculation about a potential candidacy in the elections to be held there in 2020.
“I have made a long-term commitment to Credit Suisse and its clients, employees and investors, that I will lead this bank," he said.
"Having spent three years at the helm of Credit Suisse, my task is not yet completed and I have every intention of continuing with it."
