Genco Shipping & Trading signed a refinancing deal with its lenders that will allow for less onerous covenants and lower interest expenses, while also signing a new equity financing deal with its existing shareholders.
The John Wobensmith-led company said in a regulatory filing that it received a commitment for a $400m term loan to refinance six existing term loans and credit facilities with some $446m in outstanding principal.
