Navios Maritime's shares were trading up a 28% on Tuesday and Diana Shipping's soared 16% on a robust day for dry bulk stocks in New York.
Both stocks hit their 52-week highs during the day before weakening slightly.
Navios' shares rose to $6.72 in late afternoon trading on the New York Stock Exchange, up $1.42 on the day, while Diana put on 16% to $3.02.
