Scorpio Tankers has successfully taken in 17 vessels on financial leases to complete its takeover of Navig8 Product Tankers without the need to refinance or change any of the four lessors.
In one case, Scorpio was required to pay an additional $10.9m to transfer financial leases with CSSC (Hong Kong) Shipping for eight LR2 tankers — the largest batch of vessels held by a single lessor.
