The world’s latest purpose-built LNG bunker vessel (LNGBV) took on its first cargo from Lithuania’s floating storage and regasification unit today.

Charterer Nauticor showed the 7,500-cbm, ice-class 1A Kairos (built 2017) moored alongside the 170,000-cbm FSRU Independence (built 2014) in Klaipeda.

The LNGBV, which is owned by Babcock Schulte Energy, is chartered to Blue LNG which is a joint venture between Nauticor and Independence’s Lithuania charterer KN.
