A strong third quarter has helped Skuld get back on course after a run of large claims through the first half of the year.
The diversified Norwegian protection-and-indemnity club rang up a $27m surplus for the nine months to 20 November.
Profit for the third quarter amounted to nearly two thirds of the total, at $19m, with an absence of the big claims in the first half being a key factor.
