The Joint War Committee (JWC), which represents Lloyd’s of London and company market war-risk underwriters, met on Tuesday to discuss the security situation in the Middle East Gulf following the death of Iranian general Qassem Soleimani.
The JWC is understood to be assessing the increased security threat to shipping in the region, amid the growing fears that Iran will target tankers as it seeks revenge for the killing.
