A mixed picture is emerging out of war risk settlements for ships trapped in Ukraine for more than one year.
Some owners have received the full payout for their vessels, some have been part paid, while for others negotiations are continuing.
Under most war risk policies, owners can claim for the full insured value of the vessel in a war situation under blocking and trapping clauses after 12 months at the latest.
