A US judge overseeing two dozen disputes over the collapse of OW Bunker has ruled that physical suppliers did not have maritime liens empowering them to arrest ships in the brouhaha.

US District Judge Valerie Caproni, of the US federal court in New York, rejected claims by US Oil Trading and NuStar Energy to funds held in so-called interpleader cases, in which shipowners battling off competing claimants deposited cash to allow the court to sort out the dispute.
