Trader Vitol has been unmasked as the charterer of Teekay’s 165,500-cbm LNG carrier Magellan Spirit (built 2009).
Teekay reported in a results briefing that it had fixed the vessel for three years from September 2013 when its current charter to Qatari interests concludes.
The vessel is believed to have been fixed at a rate under the $100,000 per day mark, which brokers said is evidence that period levels are coming under pressure.Teekay
