Hyundai Merchant Marine (HMM) is starting its first direct containership service to Danang in Vietnam.
It wants to take advantage of a fast-expanding market using two 1,000-teu vessels.
The run will start on 23 November.
HMM expects the service to create synergies between its intra-Asia loops and long-haul routes, strengthening sales competitiveness.
HDX (Haiphong Danang Express Service) port rotation is Gwangyang, Busan, Shanghai, Hai Pong, Danang, Hong Kong and Gwangyang.
