Piraeus can now add another new shipping company to its long list of operators - Delta International Shipping Co.
The Diamantis family that recently split its shipowning interests from Mantinia Shipping of Greece heads the new operation.
Company executive John Megas says Delta has emerged with a fleet of 11 vessels from the split. These include two handysize, 1980- built and 1977-built products tankers, eight very small products tankers, five of which are 1960s-built, two 1970s-built and one 1980s-built, plus a bulker, the 68,000-dwt Laconia (built 1987).
