Nova Shipping of Singapore has signed contracts for another pair of woodchip carriers in China.

Shipbuilding sources say the deal for the 69,300-dwt duo has gone to Jiangsu New Yangzijiang Shipbuilding, bringing the tally of similar-size woodchip carriers Nova has on order at the yard to six.

The vessels will be delivered in late 2013 and early 2014.

Nova, which was formed in 2009, has been growing rapidly to become one of the largest players in the Asian woodchip trades.
