The former boss of Orient Steamship plans to buy two barges and a bulker and to charter a capesize.

John Koo has resurfaced on the shipping scene. He exited shipowning in the middle of last year by selling off his 107,000-dwt double-hull tanker Diamon Queen (ex-Diamond Queen, built 1998)

Koo is now looking to acquire two barges and a handysize bulker while at the same time seeking to charter a capesize bulker.
