Byzantine Maritime looks set to join the growing number of Greek companies getting into the gas market.
The company is believed to have booked two 38,000-cbm LPG carriers at Hyundai Mipo Dockyard (HMD) with two optional vessels attached.
Delivery of the first pair is understood to be scheduled in 2014 and 2015.
Market sources set the price of the newbuildings at around $48m to $49m each, meaning the total investment could come close to $200m.
