Norstar Shipping of Singapore is setting up a new commercial management joint venture with former Sokana executives in the US.
The ambitious shipowner and manager will establish a new entity in Westport, Connecticut, to be christened Norstar Chartering (USA).
Brothers Chris and Tom Bonehill, who run Norstar, will join forces with Lars Ebbesen and Olav Ekeberg, two of the five partners in Arne Blystad-backed Sokana Chartering, which was formed in 1988 and then sucked up by the Navig8 Group in 2011.
