The initial team at John Fredriksen-backed shipbroking firm Arctic Shipping Norway is shaping up with the launch of the company thought to be just a couple of months away.
TradeWinds understands that five brokers have been hired with each of them understood to now be on gardening leave before taking up their new positions.
Fredriksen’s right-hand man, Harald Thorstein, declines to comment on the venture at this stage but sources indicate that Arctic Shipping Norway will be in business from 1 August.
