Singapore-based Tasik’s 112-metre DSV is heading into a tough subsea market but the ship is covered by a five-year bareboat charter, plus options.

The vessel was originally ordered as the Tasik Toba but has already been renamed the Southern Star by the unidentified client, thought to be subsea contractor FugroTSM.

However, a dead giveaway for the identity of the charterer is that the new name for the Tasik Toba matches the naming convention for another ship in FugroTSM’s fleet, the Southern Ocean.
