Greek owner Evangelos Marinakis' privately owned company Capital Maritime & Trading has inked a deal for up to six feeder boxship newbuildings worth close to $187m.
Shipbuilding players identified Capital Maritime as the buyer behind an order for three 1,800-teu ships that Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering (KSOE) disclosed on 2 July.
They added that the deal — understood to be its first for feeder boxships — included options for three additional vessels.
