Strong demand for car carriers has allowed Norway’s Gram Car Carriers to charter out a vessel for six years.

The Oslo-listed company said an unnamed major Asian operator has taken the 5,000-ceu Arabian Sea (built 2010) until 2028 for a total of $71.2m, plus a premium for the ship’s scrubber.

This works out at $32,500 per day, excluding the scrubber bonus.
