Diana Containerships has reached a settlement with the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) over a secured loan facility of $148m at favourable terms.
The Greek owner will pay $85m out of the $128.9m outstanding balance as of 30 June.
Diana Containerships will refinance the RBS facility with two new loans worth $75m and $10m cash on hand.
Diana Shipping will provide the company with $40m while Addiewell will inject another $35m through a new loan.
