Norway’s Yara International has ordered 15 of the world’s first bunkering stations for ammonia.

The giant ammonia producer and LPG carrier owner is teaming up with domestic start-up Azane Fuel Solutions for the project.

This is a significant move to drive forward take-up of the carbon-free fuel, the companies said.

The network will be established in Scandinavia, they added.

Azane is designing and constructing the stations, for which no price has been revealed.
