A trio of cargo ships — two of which are flagged in Russia — appear to have snuck stolen grain out of Ukraine and to Turkey last month, according to an analysis from Windward.

The London-traded maritime intelligence outfit said on Wednesday that the three ships, identified only as vessels D, L and K, seem to have met for a ship-to-ship transfer in the Kerch Strait on 10 June before one departed for Turkey, an event it said was indicative of new methods being used to profit from stolen Ukrainian cargo.
