Idan Ofer’s Eastern Pacific Shipping (EPS) looks likely to make a killing if it presses ahead with another car carrier sale as asset prices spike.

The Singapore shipowner has reportedly set an asking price of $60m for the 4,902-ceu Lake Kivu (built 2006), just weeks after selling the sister ship Lake Superior (built 2007) for $50m.

Daniel Nash, head of vehicle carriers and ro-ros at VesselsValue, said the ship has received “firm interest” in record charter markets.
