Samsung Heavy Industries has secured its first-ever VLGC newbuilding contract, diversifying into the red-hot segment with an order for two dual-fuel ships.
In a regulatory filing, Samsung said an unnamed client had ordered the vessels for KRW 271bn ($191m). The yard did not disclose the size of the ships but said it would deliver them by the end of 2025.
