K Line to work on Japan’s first LNG ferry

K Line says it has agreed to collaborate with K Line Kinkai to help develop Japan’s first LNG-powered ferry.

The tie-up will see the two companies study vessel specifications, engine types and any related technical verifications for LNG handling.

K Line Kinkai is said to have been studying the introduction of a ferry fueled by LNG and it is hoped K Line’s involvement will accelerate this process.
