Soren Skou says it may take AP Moller-Maersk up to half a decade to complete its transformation into a transport and logistics company.
The Danish giant has sold two of its four energy businesses this year as part of a strategy to streamline.
Skou told Danish newspaper Borsen he expects it will take three to five years to build the kind of company envisaged.
