A fund controlled by the descendants of the Lego Group's founder is planing to exit shipping.

Danish investment company Kirk Kapital said in an annual report that shipping is now a discontinued activity as it looks for an "opportune time" to dispose of its product tanker fleet.

The company which was set up in 2007 to manage the wealth of members of the Kirk Johansen family who are direct descendants of Lego founder Ole Kirk Kristiansen, whose company is well known for its plastic toy construction bricks.
