Sweden's Viking Supply Ships is taking a $12m hit on selling three laid-up platform supply vessels (PSVs).

The company, controlled by investor Christen Sveaas, said it had agreed to offload the 3,800-dwt Freyja Viking (built 2007) and Nanna Viking (built 2006), and the 3,600-dwt Sol Viking (built 2006).

Freyja Viking and Sol Viking have been in cold lay-up since March 2016, while Nanna Viking has been cold-stacked since September 2015.
