Australian power company AGL Energy has shortlisted three floating storage and regasification unit providers for what could be the country’s first LNG import project.

Regasification specialists said FSRU newcomer Maran Gas Maritime and existing providers Golar LNG and Hoegh LNG are in the final line-up.

Maria Angelicoussis-led Maran Gas, which has strong connections with Australia’s Woodside that is working with the project, is tipped to scoop the work.
