A chartering venture for feeder containerships has been launched by five German shipowners.
Arkon Allied Container (AAC) will market a fleet of around 90 containerships from feeder sizes up to around 5,000 teu.
It will lump together around 40 ships marketed by Hamburg-based Allied Feedership Chartering (ACT) with around 50 previously marketed by Haren-based Arkon Shipping.
ACT previously handled the chartering for its shareholders, Jebsen Shipping Partners (JSP) and HS Schiffahrts, as well as a handful of containerships from Reederei O Marten and Leer-based Briese Schiffahrts.
