Samsung Heavy Industries has confirmed a further shuttle tanker newbuilding order from Malaysian shipowner AET.
The shipbuilder confirmed the order for the 152,700-dwt tanker on Monday, but declined to give away few details citing client confidentiality.
However, Samsung did say that while the price was not disclosed, it did involve a “slight increase” over previous shuttle tanker orders.
Late last month AET said it would order a 152,700 dwt DP2-rated shuttle tanker after signing a long-term time-charter contract with Shell.
