Unifeeder is beefing up its liner service from the UK to the Baltic Sea with a new chartered-in ship.

The company said the vessel, of more than 800 teu, will be introduced on 24 September.

It told TradeWinds it now has two ships chartered in from Germany's Astromare: the 809-teu Astrorunner and Astrosprinter (both built 2007).

"With two weekly sailings to the UK and bigger vessel intake, our customers will enjoy an increased capacity from the UK to Poland as well as improved transit time out of Riga," it said.
