Indian owner Seven Islands Shipping has purchased a 15-year-old medium-range tanker from Sovcomflot (SCF Group) as it continues an active streak in the the sale-and purchase market.
Shipbrokers report theMumbai company is paying $8.5m for the Hyundai Mipo Dockyard-built, 47,000-dwt Narodny Bridge (built 2003).
Neither Sovcomflot nor Seven Islands responded to requests for comment on reports of the transaction.
