MOL Chemical Tankers has swooped to take full ownership of Danish shipowner Nordic Tankers from private equity owner Triton.
The deal will create a combined fleet of 75 chemical tankers and establish what the parties call a stronger business platform.
Per Sylvester Jensen, chief executive of Nordic Tankers, said in a statement: “MOL Chemical Tankers is a well-respected company with a successful history in the chemical tanker industry with strong customer focus that mirrors Nordic Tankers' strategy.
