Shipyards under the control of China State Shipbuilding Corp (CSSC) have won orders for up to 36 newbuildings worth more than CNY 10bn ($1.48bn) in a huge haul facilitated by the shipbuilding giant's leasing arm.

According to local press, CSSC’s leasing arm CSSC (Hong Kong) Shipping Leasing has ordered the newbuildings against seven bareboat charter contracts from several shipping companies that include Zeamarine, Pangaea and others.
