Kathleen Eisbrenner, who founded NextDecade and Excelerate Energy, has died aged 58.
No details were given as to the cause of her death which was confirmed by Houston-based liquefaction developer NextDecade where she was chairwoman of the board.
NextDecade chief executive Matt Schatzman said: "Kathleen was a true energy industry pioneer.
