White smoke was observed Sunday morning coming from inside the Golden Ray, a 7,700-teu car carrier capsized off the US coast of Georgia for the past six weeks, authorities say.
The 2017-built vessel, owned by South Korea's Hyundai Glovis, turned over on its side on 9 September in St. Simon Sound after a fire erupted near its cargo of about 4,000 cars.
