Containerships, the intra-European arm of the CMA CGM group, has taken delivery of the fourth of six LNG-powered containerships from Guangzhou Wenchong Shipyard in China.
The 1,380-teu Containerships Arctic (built 2019) is expected make its way to Rotterdam where it will be loaded with around 200 tonnes of LNG via ship-to-ship bunkering.
It will then be phased into CMA CGM’s Baltic feeder services, before joining the Hamburg-managed Containerships shortsea operation in early 2021.
