Momentum behind LNG as a marine fuel is gathering pace but the wider shipowning community needs to come onboard with, according to industry coalition SEA\LNG.
In its 'View from the Bridge 2019-20' position paper, the lobby group said LNG is the only safe, available, competitive fuel that exceeds the IMO’s 2020 mandate and meets the IMO’s 2030 emissions targets when combined with Energy Efficiency Design Index (EEDI) improvements.
