Performance Shipping is well on its way distinguishing itself among tanker owners.
The New York-listed company has signed a memorandum of understanding to buy aframax FSL Shanghai (built 2007) for $26m from an unaffiliated seller. It is set for delivery at the end of March.
The Greek owner has been slowly forming an exclusively aframax fleet since changing its name from Diana Containerships a year ago.
