Connecticut pools operator Penfield Marine has taken its first ownership position, with a 25% interest in two panamax LR1 tankers in conjunction with its pool partners.
The separate deals see Penfield joining with Salamon AG on one of the tankers and with Chemikalien Seetransport on the other. Both pool members are from Germany.
Each deal also has a Norwegian component.
