The International Transport Workers' Federation (ITF) has accused flag states of not doing enough to assist seafarers on cruiseships that have been caught up in the coronavirus crisis.

The federation hit out after crew and passengers were forced into lockdown on the 116,000-gt Diamond Princess (built 2004) in Yokohama.

Grand problem

Another Princess Cruises vessel, the 107,000-gt Grand Princess (built 1998) was also affected by the virus.
