A floating storage and regasification unit controlled by Hoegh LNG looks set to be snapped up by trader Trafigura on period hire.

Brokers said the 170,000-cbm Hoegh Gannet (built 2018) is being fixed to Trafigura for at least eight months with options to extend the hire to almost a year.

It is understood the FSRU will be employed as a trading vessel rather than a regasification unit from this month.
