Shipowner GasLog does not expect the level of LNG cargo cancellations seen to date to make a big impact on the shipping market but is taking a cautious approach to its business in light of the Covid-19 uncertainties.

GasLog chief executive Paul Wogan said on a first quarter results call that the company estimates that 20-25 cargo cancellations per month out of the US – a figure that has been quoted for June - equates to a reduction in demand of about ten LNG carriers.
