Bulker markets this week saw a rare year-long period fixture for a capesize, which coincided with a correction in the futures market.

This week has also seen the Baltic Exchange move to reformulate the Baltic Capesize Index, after facing criticism earlier this year when the index spent two months below zero.

The 176,200-dwt Ugo De Carlini (built 2010) was reported fixed to PacBulk on Thursday for 12 months at a daily rate of $15,000.
