Multipurpose (MPP) industry veteran Svend Andersen is back in the business following a takeover by Germany's SAL Heavy Lift of Intermarine of the US.
Andersen will take over as chief executive and shareholder of Houston-based Intermarine, which has sold a controlling stake to Martin Harren-led heavylift specialist SAL.
He takes the position barely a year after quitting as CEO of Leer-based BBC Chartering in August 2019, which he helped build into one of the world's largest multipurpose operators.
