Compagnie Maritime Belge (CMB) is pressing ahead with a newbuilding order for up to eight 6,000-teu containerships.
The Belgian owner has penned the order worth more than $400m with China's Qingdao Yangfan Shipbuilding.
It is CMB's first containership order in five years and comprises two firm orders with options for a further six vessels.
Deliveries are scheduled from the end of 2022.
