Herbjorn Hansson and his Nordic American Tankers remain key shareholders in Nordic American Offshore following the Norwegian shipowner's exit from the board room.
Emanuele Lauro’s privately held Scorpio Group took a $5m chunk of NAO following a private placement last night.
The move sees the Monaco-based businessman take over as chairman of the PSV specialist.
In a letter to shareholders today, Hasson said: “Scorpio will step into NAO to significantly strengthen and grow NAO.”
